(Vancouver, Washington) We are pleased to announce that the Northwest Association for Blind Athletes (NWABA) Regional Powerlifting Team has just returned from the World Association for Benchers and Deadlifters Washington State Championships.

The team consisted of Billy Henry – Coach, Nick Wilks, Jesse Curtis, Rachel Talley, Jacquelyn Patching and Arlando Hicks. All of the lifters had a great showing breaking numerous records, as well as taking 12 individual first places and first place as a team.

This meet was the conclusion to our regular season, and first year of operation. In one year we have been able to send our team to six competitions, and provide over $5,000 dollars in scholarship to athletes competing in various sports.

We would like to thank Crista Henry, Jennifer Talley, Kaeli Davidson and Pat Myers for volunteering as drivers and assisting at the meet. We couldn’t make this happen without all of your financial and volunteer assistance.

Next up for the Nightmare is the USAPL YMCA Summer Classic on July 12th in Seattle Washington. Thank you once more for everyone’s support of Northwest Blind Powerlifting.
